Configuration Steps

To configure the ServiceNow plugin, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to ServiceNow Configuration

In the OpenNMS web interface, go to Plugins > ServiceNow.

2. Enable ServiceNow Integration

Toggle the Enable ServiceNow switch to enable or disable the integration.

3. Configure the Base API URL

Enter your ServiceNow instance URL in the ServiceNow Base API URL field. Use the format: https://<instance>.service-now.com

4. Provide Credentials

Enter your ServiceNow admin Username and Password for authentication.

5. Enable Forwarding Options

You can choose to forward the following from OpenNMS to ServiceNow by selecting the corresponding checkboxes: - Forward Alarms: Forward OpenNMS alarms to ServiceNow. - Forward Events: Forward OpenNMS events to ServiceNow. - Forward Tickets: Create and update tickets in ServiceNow.

6. Enable CMDB Import

If you wish to import Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data from ServiceNow, toggle the CMDB Import option.

7. Monitor Connection Status

Once the configuration is saved, the Status will display as either: - Connected: If the connection to ServiceNow is successful. - Disconnected: If the connection fails.

Saving the Configuration

After configuring the required fields, click the Update button to save your changes.
